This EP comes from my experience as a selectively open queer-identifying adult.
It comes from the warm welcome to the LGBTQ+ community from friends who’ve existed and fought in that highly pressurized and often dangerous space far longer than I have.
It comes from a recognition of my privilege as a well-educated white man in a hetero-presenting relationship.
It comes from IDLES yelling “I KISSED A BOY AND I LIKED IT”.
It comes from colorful guitar pedals built by incredible humans.
It comes from the boy in the car yelling “NICE HAT, F****T”.
It comes from the quirky melodies of Dustin Wong and Takako Minekawa.
It comes from death threat voicemails.
It comes from countless side-eye glances from strangers.
It comes from dancing to Carly Rae Jepsen in the kitchen.
It comes from “that not being a very manly color”.

It comes from my sensitivity.
It comes from my anger.
It comes from floral patterns.
It comes from fear.
It comes from fried tofu.
It comes from love.
